I served my mission some time ago in the Uruguay Montevideo West Mission. This mission borders the country of Brazil, and so on top of picking up Spanish, I was able to learn Portuguese as well as much from the Brazilian people during my time spent there.
I was on my way back to Provo from Wyoming when a man with an accent began to speak. I had managed to find General Conference on an AM radio station and the connection was less than favorable. I feel like every conference, there is at least one talk that seems so pointed and influential to me at the time, and often it doesn't have anything to do with a question I have in mind at the time. I agreed with your statement about leaving conference with having heard something very influential without having a specific question about it. I feel like conference, especially this last session, can be so personal with every talk given. That is why I love it so much!
